1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Matchbook ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Matchbook is a companion application for League of Legends that provides structured journaling, game recording, and performance tracking to help players improve through deliberate practice. Matchbook is currently available on macOS with plans to expand to additional platforms.

3. Not Affiliated with Riot Games

Matchbook isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. League of Legends, Riot Games, and all related trademarks, logos, and intellectual property are the property of Riot Games, Inc.

Matchbook uses the Riot Games API in accordance with Riot's Developer Policies. Your use of Matchbook does not create any relationship between you and Riot Games beyond what already exists through your Riot Games account.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Matchbook. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

You must have a valid Riot Games account to use Matchbook's core features. Your Riot Games account is subject to Riot's own Terms of Service.

5. Your Account and Data

Matchbook stores all data locally on your device. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device and your data
• Backing up any data you wish to preserve
• Managing your own Riot Games API key

Matchbook does not have access to your data once it is stored on your device. If you lose your device or delete your data, we cannot recover it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Matchbook to violate Riot Games' Terms of Service or Developer Policies
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from Matchbook
• Use Matchbook to gain unfair in-game advantages, automate gameplay, or create cheating tools
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense Matchbook or any data obtained through it
• Use Matchbook to harass, stalk, or collect information about other players without their consent
• Attempt to access Riot API data beyond what Matchbook requests for its intended features

7. Screen Recording

Matchbook's recording feature uses your operating system's screen capture capabilities to record your League of Legends gameplay. By using this feature:

• You consent to Matchbook capturing video of your game window
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record content visible on your screen
• Recordings are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded anywhere unless you choose to share them
• Recordings may capture in-game chat, other players' usernames, and other visible content

8. Intellectual Property

Matchbook and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Matchbook and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

League of Legends game content, champion names, item names, and other Riot Games intellectual property that appears within Matchbook (fetched via the Riot API or displayed in recordings) remains the property of Riot Games, Inc.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Matchbook is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• The Riot Games API will remain available or unchanged

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Matchbook and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

11. Changes to the App and These Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Matchbook at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using Matchbook at any time by uninstalling the App. We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the App if you violate these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
